Utilise already installed cameras in self-check-out areas in stores to detect payements and track customers to automatically open the exit gates once they reach them.

The Challenge

Vision Gate adresses the problem of inefficiencies in modern retail self-checkout: For customers: the frustration coming from having to scan receipts to exit paying areas. For retailers: Stolen marchandise and the amount of wasted paper used for receipts

The solution

Vision Gate is a seamless integrated, AI-powered camera system for self-checkout. Our system would be integrated in the already present cameras/ cashier stations in retail stores, allowing fast and convenient installation. It would allow communication with the stations, intelligently detecting completed payements. After paying, customers would have the door automatically open for them thanks to AI tracking (the footage would strictly only be used for this purpose and no other), eliminating the need for physical receipts. Simultaneously it would actively prevent thefts and facilitate security’s work. This would create a smooth « pay-and-go » experience for customers while enhancing security and drastically reducing paper waste.
